| Q.Can acupuncture help with emotional problems rather than just the physical body. |
A . Acupuncture firstly adjusts the emotional energetic balance, and then the physical body
will respond. We don't consider the two as separate poles rather; they are interconnected so if you feel bad
about your sore back or shoulder or recurrent headaches then the emotional aspect must be involved too. On
the other hand, you may be stressed and tired emotionally but have no major physical symptoms. This could also
be perceived as a pre-injury/ illness state as a tired energetically weak body is more likely to manifest a
physical injury or become sick.

| Q. How often will I need treatments? |
A . It depends really on the condition. If you haven't had it for long, then usually two or
three treatments. If however it's been around for a long time, then it's more than likely going to take a
little longer as it will depend on how far the condition has progressed as well as the energetic state of
the individual. . Oriental medicine doesn't treat the disease. It treats the deficiency of the person with
the condition.

| Q.What conditions or symptoms can Acupuncture treat? |
A . The approach in Oriental Medicine is to treat the person and not the disease.
Acupuncture works by making the body maintain its ideal state and the result is that the symptoms of
the condition, regardless of its medical name, will disappear. Each person is an individual and as such
a treatment will be tailored to your energetic constitution. For more information on specific
conditions please refer to the World Health Organisation (WHO) web site for details of specific conditions
that acupuncture can treat.

| Q. I hate the idea of needles! Can I just have a treatment without needles? |
A . yes, we can provide other services that don't use needles. It is quite normal not to
like the idea of needles, however, this can also reflect a deficiency state and as you recover, so too will
your "fear" of needles.

| Q. Why choose acupuncture for my condition. |
A . Oriental medicine is born from the idea that sickness or disease doesn't occur unless
the individual experiences a deficiency. Therefore the patient is the active element in the disease and
recovery process. One of the main purposes of oriental medicine is not just to treat, but to educate. Good
treatment is an educational process that empowers a person with the basic principles and internal elements
necessary for health.
